DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE INFORMATION SYSTEM Ahmad Faiz Ramadhan, Moh. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : faizrd.tm@gmail.com, ali.romli@uty.ac.id, ABSTRACT Employee absence is an important factor for an agency or company to achieve its goals, this is related to employee discipline and performance. There needs to be special data collection to record employee attendance and absence which can be documented in real time and validly. The implementation of a web-based real-time information system is one effort to utilize computer-based technology to overcome existing problems. PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which operates in the field of information and communication technology services which has several branches in Indonesia, one of which is located at Jl. Independence Pioneers No.9, District. Banjar, Banjar City, West Java. The process of recording employee attendance and absence is still conventional by using Google Forms, which is felt to be less effective and often contains inappropriate data and can affect the effectiveness of data processing for decision making for the payroll process. Based on the problems that have been described, a web-based employee attendance information system was created using the geolocation feature. The research methods used to collect data include: observation, interviews and document research. Software development includes requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation. Implementation of a web-based employee attendance information system at PT. Telkom Banjar can simplify the process of calculating employee absences in real time, as well as searching for data and calculating employee attendance and absences more validly and effectively.
