Abstract

Tanah lempung ekspansif merupakan jenis tanah yang banyak menimbulkan masalah pada pembangunan teknik sipil, karena memiliki sifat kembang susut yang tinggi seiring perubahan kadar airnya. Perubahan kadar air pada lempung ekspansif menyababkan daya dukung tanahnya menjadi buruk sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerusakan konstruksi diatasnya. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki tanah tersebut yakni dengan melakukan stabilisasi menggunakan Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh campuran Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan terhadap sifat fisik dan mekanis tanah lempung ekspansif yang terletak didaerah Jl. Yogyakarta-Wonosari KM. 33 Gading Playen, Gunung Kidul. Metode yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen di Laboratorium Mekanika Tanah Program Studi Teknik Sipil Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Dan di Laboratorium Balai Teknik Sabo,Yogyakarta. Objek penelitian ini adalah pengujian sifat fisik tanah (kadar air tanah, berat jenis tanah, atterberg limit) dan pengujian sifat mekanis tanah yakni (kepadatan tanah dan CBR Soaked), persentase yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 0, 18%, 22%, 25% Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan. Hasil penelitian penambahan yang menggunakan Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan diperoleh bahwa nilai berat jenis, batas plastis, batas susut, kepadatan kering maksimum (MDD) dan CBR mengalami kenaikan. Sedangkan nilai kadar air, batas cair, indeks plastis, kadar air optimum (OMC) dan swelling mengalami penurunan. Hasil optimum diperoleh dipersentase 25% Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan dengan nilai CBR sebesar 9,00% dan nilai pengembangan (swelling) sebesar 0,24%. Kata kunci: Lempung Ekspansif, Limbah Padat Konstruksi Bangunan, CBR ,Swelling. Expansive clay soil is a type of soil that causes a lot of problems in civil engineering construction because it has high swelling and shrinkage properties as its water content changes. Changes in water content in expansive clay cause the carrying capacity of the soil to become poor so that it can cause damage to the construction on it. One way that can be used to improve the soil is by stabilizing it using Building Construction Solid Waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a mixture of Building Construction Solid Waste on the physical and mechanical properties of expansive clay located in the area of Jl. Yogyakarta-Wonosari KM. 33 Gading Playen, Gunung Kidul. The method used was an experiment at the Soil Mechanics Laboratory, Civil Engineering Study Program, Yogyakarta University of Technology and the Sabo Engineering Center Laboratory, Yogyakarta. The object of this research is testing the physical properties of the soil (soil water content, soil specific gravity, atterberg limit) and testing the mechanical properties of the soil (soil density and CBR Soaked), the percentages used in this study are 0.18%, 22%, 25 % Building Construction Solid Waste. The results of the research on the addition of solid waste to building construction showed that the specific gravity, plastic limit, shrinkage limit, maximum dry density (MDD) and CBR increased. While the values of water content, liquid limit, plastic index, optimum moisture content (OMC) and swelling decreased. Optimum results were obtained at a percentage of 25% Solid Waste Building Construction with a CBR value of 9.00% and swelling value of 0.24%.
