Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED ARCHIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM Muhammad Yunas Ismail, Dodi Hariadi, S.T, M.Eng. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : yunasismail10@gmail.com, dodihar@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Yogyakarta State Community Academy for Arts and Culture (AKNSBY) is an educational institution in Indonesia that focuses on programs in the fields of arts and culture. Currently, they have utilized technology, especially Microsoft Excel, to record incoming and outgoing letters and store them in filing cabinets. However, the use of Excel has caused a buildup of letter data which has resulted in a long time needed to search for letters. Therefore, the aim of this research is to design and implement a web-based archival information system that will replace the old system. The methods used in designing this system include data collection, needs analysis, system design, implementation and testing. The results of testing with this system, storage, search and management of letters can be carried out more systematically, reducing the risk of losing information and speeding up data accessibility.
