Abstract
WEB-BASED ROOM RESERVATION INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case study: Family Inn Hotel Bangko) Falih Muhammad Farid Bramusetya, Adam Sekti Aji, S.kom, M.kom. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: muhammadfalih018@gmail.com, adamaji@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Family Inn Hotel is a subsidiary of the Family Raya Group. So far, reservations at the Family Inn Hotel have been made via telephone or consumers have come directly to the hotel. The current reservation recording process still uses book recording, then the records are entered into Microsoft Excel every month, so data storage is prone to damage and loss. Based on the problems that occurred, this research was carried out to provide suggestions for designing and building a web-based room reservation information system to facilitate potential customers in choosing the type of room, price, conditions and facilities available at the hotel. In this case, data and information collection methods are applied through observation and literature study to determine the problems and needs of the reservation information system. The aim of this research is to design and implement a room reservation information system to facilitate guests in making hotel room reservations and make it easier to manage data so that transactions are recorded and stored properly. This final project research produces a system that can be a solution for managing and controlling reservations more effectively and accurately, so that information regarding the number of orders, conditions and location of the hotel can be accessed easily and quickly, as well as minimizing the occurrence of errors in recording.
