Abstract

Piknik Jogja Transport is a company that operates in the car rental service sector. This car rental service still records manually and is not yet systemized. By recording manually, it was found that reports between borrower data and return data were still different, apart from that all data was not captured properly. Based on these problems, Piknik Jogja Transport needs a vehicle rental management system. This system can help the process of recording car rental transactions, and makes it easier to create ordering, borrowing and return reports. The software development method used in this system is using the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) using the MySql and Laravel databases as the framework. The result of this system design is a web-based application. This web-based application makes it easy for customers to quickly find out car availability, type of car, rental price, as well as the facilities available, including notification of rental expiry. This system can also make it easier for rental owners to record the suitability of borrower and car return data, the types of payments made by customers and to prepare daily and monthly transaction reports.
