Abstract

Social Welfare Service Requirements (PPKS) is a term for individuals, families, groups and/or communities who, due to obstacles, difficulties or disturbances, are unable to carry out their social functions and therefore require social services to meet their physical, spiritual and social needs adequately and reasonable. PPKS data collection itself is a Ministry of Social Affairs program implemented by the Social Service in each region, including the Sleman Regency Social Service. The PPKS data collection program in Sleman Regency currently still uses a manual system starting from surveys to data processing. This is because the system that was running previously could no longer be accessed so the system began to be abandoned by officers. The manual data collection process causes the data input and data processing processes to be less effective, making it troublesome for officers. From the existing problems, the author tries to provide a solution by building an Android-based Social Welfare Service Requirement Data Collection Application (PPKS). This application development stage uses the waterfall development method. The application was built using the Java and XML programming languages, as well as MySQL as the database. The application built provides input features, displaying data, updating data, and deleting data. The application can also display PPKS data according to three groups, namely regular PPKS, disabilities, and children with disabilities.
