Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil survey yang dilakukan peneliti dan terkait gambaran pemaknaan Self-healing dikalangan mahasiswa. Survey dilakukan kepada 49 mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Hasil survey menunjukan bahwa 20 mahasiswa menganggap healing sebagai suatu kegiatan liburan dan 22 mahasiswa akan melakukan healing disaat memiliki waktu luang, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Self-healing dalam perspektif mahasiswa, faktor penyebab dan mengetahui bentuk ketidak sesuain makna Self-healing dikalangan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan sumber data 11 mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) 6 mahasiswa menganggap Self-healing sebagai proses penyembuhan diri dan 5 mahasiswa menganggap Self-healing sebagai kegiatan liburan atau kegiatan yang mampu menyegarkan suasana, 2) faktor penyebab mahasiswa melakukan Self-healing antara lain ketika mahasiswa merasa jenuh dan bosan dengan aktivitas yang dilalui, merasa stress dan merasa sudah mengalami penumpukan permasalahn, 3) mahasiswa menganggap healing berfungsi untuk menyembuhkan diri, mengistirahat pikiran, memahami diri, menenangkan, menyenangkan dan mengurangi stres, 4) bentuk ketidaksesuaian terkait pemaknaan Self-healing antara lain pemaknaan healing itu sendiri, waktu pelaksanaan dan faktor penyebab melakukan. Beberapa hasil kesimpulan tersebut, diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi terkait gambaran Self-healing dikalangan mahasiswa serta mampu membantu mahasiswa dalam mengoptimalkan proses Self-healing. This research is motivated by the results of a survey conducted by researchers and related to the description of the meaning of self-healing among students. The survey was conducted on 49 students of the Yogyakarta Technology University Guidance and Counseling Study Program. The survey results showed that 20 students considered healing as a holiday activity and 22 students would do healing when they had free time. This study aims to find out the description of self-healing from a student's perspective, the causal factors and find out the form of discrepancies in the meaning of self-healing among students. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection in this study used interview techniques with data sources of 9 students of the Yogyakarta University of Technology Guidance and Counseling Study Program. The results of this study indicate that 1) 6 students consider self-healing as a process of self-healing and 5 students consider self-healing as a holiday activity or activity that can refresh the atmosphere, 2) factors that cause students to do self-healing include when students feel bored and bored with the activities they are going through, feel stressed and feel that they have experienced a buildup of problems, 3) students think healing functions to heal themselves, rest their minds, understand themselves, calm, please and reduce stress, 4) forms of discrepancy related to the meaning of Self-healing include the meaning healing itself, implementation time and factors that cause it. Some of these conclusions are expected to provide information related to the description of self-healing among students and to be able to assist students in optimizing the self-healing process.
