Abstract

ABSTRACT Finding a place to live is a challenge for many individuals, especially for students or workers who need boarding or temporary accommodation. Limited information regarding location, facilities and prices can make the search process difficult. In particular, there is a lack of platforms that utilize the latest technology such as Location Based Services (LBS) to provide fast and efficient solutions for housing seekers. This research aims to develop an Android-based information system that uses Location Based Services to facilitate boarding house searches. The main goal is to provide an easier and faster experience for users in finding boarding houses based on location, facilities and price. This system development method involves gathering requirements from potential users, analyzing Location Based Service technology, designing an intuitive user interface, developing Android-based applications, and thorough testing to ensure system functionality and reliability. The results of the development of an Android-based boarding house search information system using Location Based Service show effectiveness in providing relevant and accurate information to users. The integration of LBS technology enables more precise searches based on location, speeds up the search process, and provides easy access to boarding house information. The use of this technology is expected to improve the experience of finding a place to live for users and facilitate access to boarding house options that suit their preferences.
