Abstract

ABSTRACT Recording employee absences is an important aspect for an institution or company to achieve its expected goals. The level of employee discipline plays a vital role in determining individual productivity, which directly influences overall efficiency. So, a special recording system is needed to manage employee absences accurately and in real-time. One effective solution to achieve this is through the use of computer technology, especially by utilizing web & mobile based attendance applications. PT Gunung Api Mulia-Surabaya faces challenges in carrying out attendance manually using a daily attendance book. This approach creates inefficiencies and ineffectiveness in recording, searching for data, and calculating data recapitulation, which ultimately takes quite a long time. Not only that, the risk of errors and potential loss of attendance data also increases. To overcome these obstacles, a Website and Mobile-based Non-Permanent Employee Attendance System was developed at PT Gunung Api Mulia-Surabaya. In developing this system, the React Native programming language was used to build Android applications and the React JS programming language to develop websites. Database management is done via Firebase. The research methods applied include observation, interviews and literature study. With the implementation of this system, attendance procedures, information retrieval, and attendance summary calculations can be implemented. Become more efficient, while reducing the risk of errors and loss of attendance data. Keywords: system, presence, employees, web, mobile, React Native, React JS, Firebase
