Abstract

ABSTRACT Car rental is a business whose basis is renting out four-wheeled vehicles or cars, which are rented to customers for various needs, including recreation, daily transportation, etc. Global Rent Car is a company engaged in car rental services in Tegal, Central Java. The problem experienced by Global Rent Car is a lack of efficiency in managing rentals, managing car data, driver data, and recapping rental reports according to the period. Apart from that, from the customer's perspective, requiring them to come directly to the location will be less effective if it turns out that the car they want to rent is not available. Based on these problems, the author designed and built an Android-based car rental information system application to make it easier for rental managers to manage rental data, cars and reports, as well as making it easier for customers to rent a car without having to come to the rental location. System design using UML, application development using Kotlin language, for the web-based rental management section using PHP language, with MySQL DBMS.
