Abstract
ABSTRACT Balangan Student Dormitory is one of the South Kalimantan dormitories in Yogyakarta. Financial data is confidential data, therefore this data needs to be secured to prevent data misuse. Therefore, this research aims to secure financial data, because this data is confidential. To implement data security so that the contents of the data sent are still confidential and not known to other parties, an algorithm is needed to make the security of financial data difficult. Cryptography is the security required and the algorithm used is Rivest Code (RC4) to carry out the encryption and decryption process on financial data. Researchers succeeded in creating an application to secure confidential financial data by going through an encryption and decryption process that uses a key so that the data is safe and remains confidential. The test results of this application run well without experiencing data damage so that the data in the file can be run. Keywords: Cryptography, RC4 Algorithm, Finance, Encryption, Decryption
