Abstract

ABSTRACT The attendance system in companies on average still uses manual, namely using recording in Microsoft Excel software. Presence uses Microsoft Excel software by entering data in table columns and typing them one by one. Companies feel overwhelmed and there are problems that arise, which have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection. searching for data as well as calculating data recaps requires a relatively long time and a high level of fraud. because several employees at the company were found to have manipulated attendance. Manipulation of employee attendance was carried out by leaving attendance marks with fellow employees. Therefore, there is a need for special data collection to record attendance and absence in real time and to anticipate fraud by employees regarding attendance. So the company decided to use a mobile-based employee attendance system using GPS. With the existence of a mobile-based employee attendance system using GPS, it can reduce the level of attendance fraud committed by employees, companies can monitor each employee's attendance effectively and efficiently by looking at records of employee whereabouts and time when taking attendance and can help make data processing easier and easier. relatively faster.
