Abstract
ABSTRACT Many students' busy schedules, such as busy lecture or activity schedules, organizational activities, activities in the community and other off-campus assignments, make it difficult for students to organize their lecture schedules and assignments that must be carried out by lecturers. As a result, many students often forget the deadlines for assigned assignments or are late in realizing that classes exist, this can cause a decline in students' academic grades and disruption of other non-academic activities. The aim of this project is to create an Android-based lecture schedule and student assignment reminder application that can help students, especially students at Yogyakarta Technology University, organize lecture information and help them remember it. When using the application, this system will provide reminders in the form of notifications to users some time before the lecture schedule starts or assignments before the deadline. This application development uses Android Studio software and the programming language used is Kotlin. Meanwhile, for storage itself, it uses the Firebase Realtime Database database. From the implementation results, this application can run properly and provide reminders to users in the form of notifications whose notification times have been set according to user needs.
