Abstract

ABSTRACT The beauty business is growing rapidly along with the changing times, almost all activities have used digital. In today's era, hair care is one of the appearance factors that are considered by women. Salon Elsa Eylash is a salon that until now still applies direct booking, by coming to the location so that this results in many customers at the same time when it is crowded with visitors. Therefore, a system is needed that can facilitate customers in terms of service. Based on these problems, it can be concluded the importance of building an Android-based service booking application. This system is built using Java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS programming languages, and uses a REST API as an interface used by 2 computer systems to exchange data that can upload data from databases securely over the internet. Software used to build the system is Android Studio, VSCode, XAMPP, and others. From the results of the construction of this system, Salon Elsa Eylash can increase productivity and creativity in improving service quality and income to be able to compete in the business world. With this system, it can also save time and become more convenient and can satisfy customers. Keywords: Salon, Ordering application, Java, REST API, Android
