Abstract

ABSTRACT Data from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 shows that the literacy level in Indonesia is still quite low, namely at 37.2, while the lowest category ranges from 0 to 20. Even though campuses offer ePrints, a digital library for students, students' reading levels are still low. low even in an academic setting. This is simply because ePrints are not convenient or are not used by students as a literacy tool. The aim of this project is to create an android based application that will improve the accessibility of the repository. The filtering feature, which is new to ePrints, was added by the author in the implementation. Users of this service can filter search results based on field of study, research specialization, and research period. Usability testing of the applications created shows that many students are starting to be interested in making ePrints as literacy materials because of this convenience. This test uses the System Usability Scale methodology, where program users - in this case UTY students - are given a questionnaire. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the usability value obtained was quite high, namely 75.63 percent. In conclusion, the application developed can help students improve their literacy skills.
