Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid progress of information technology has changed the lifestyle of some people in carrying out their activities. One of them is processing the scholarship information system. A scholarship is an award for someone as a form of effort to support them in pursuing further education. However, the process of determining scholarship recipients is currently still done manually, starting from selection to determining the selection of students who receive scholarships. With this manual implementation, this manual certainly takes a long time and there is the possibility of data loss/damage and calculation errors. In order to assist Islamic boarding school administrators in selecting scholarship recipients, a recommendation system has been developed. The purpose of this application system is to be designed as a benchmark for the acceptance of prospective scholarship recipients. prospective scholarship recipients. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is the method used in this scholarship recommendation system to evaluate potential scholarship recipients. In developing this scholarship selection recommendation system, the PHP programming language was used. The application database is carried out using MySQL and the PHPMyAdmin interface which runs locally on Localhost. Keywords: Scholarship, MySQL, PHP, SPK, Simple Additive Weighting.
