Abstract
ABSTRACT Transportation and mobility have become an integral aspect of everyday life, especially in this modern era. Motorized vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, and trucks are widely used to meet individual and commercial transportation needs. GPS (Global Positioning System) technology has become one of the most effective solutions in tracking vehicle locations. However, the GPS system itself often requires a constant internet data connection to function properly. Sometimes, GPS signals can also be disrupted in areas with physical barriers, such as tall buildings or rural areas with minimal infrastructure. This final project aims to design and build a motor vehicle GPS Tracker using NodeMCU ESP32 as the core platform. This GPS Tracker will be designed to operate based on the internet, allowing vehicle owners to track their vehicle locations, send vehicle commands, and receive important information easily. After analysis, simulation and testing using the Telegram application, it was found that the results of the Ublok Neo-8M GPS module test obtained an accuracy value of 3.9 meters between 2 location points. The results of the test of sending and receiving commands on the Telegram Bot that has been designed can work well. This is proven by testing each feature on the Telegram Bot has a percentage of success rate with a value of 100%. The GPS Tracker tool that was built has succeeded in getting the location quite accurately and the indication of the embedded security system works well such as engine cutoff, handlebar lock and motorcycle alarm.
