Abstract

ABSTRACT Vocational High Schools (SMK) are believed to be educational schools that are prepared to produce workers with the knowledge and experience needed by the world of work. However, most of the existing job vacancy (locker) applications are very limited in presenting job vacancy information that matches the skills and experience of alumni and even students of SMK Ma'arif 1 Yogyakarta. For this reason, in helping graduates of SMK Ma'arif 1 Yogyakarta, we need a platform that can facilitate these graduates in getting complete data about job vacancies according to their skills and the location of the area where these students live, as well as changing the manual information system to online. The aim of this research is to develop a system that can help students at SMK Ma'arif 1 Yogyakarta in finding information about job vacancies. The system design created by the author was successfully implemented into a mobile application using the Kotlin and Android Studio programming languages. Based on testing, the application built can change an information system that was initially delivered manually into an electronic system by developing a mobile application so that there is interaction between system developers and application users which can be used to obtain job vacancy information easily.
