Abstract

ABSTRACT Tourism is an industrial sector that is developing in Sleman Regency. The tourism industry can develop if the number of tourists increases. One of the factors supporting the development of the tourism industry is the availability of information about tourism. Based on these problems, the idea emerged to build an Android-based application as a promotional media and tourism guide in Sleman. The information contained in the application is Sleman tourism information, there are details of the estimated costs required, there are tourist routes as a means of getting directions to tourist locations. This tourism application was built with a Client-Server architecture and a database server as storage media, a mobile application as a service recipient (Client) and a Web Administrator as a service provider (Server). The estimated calculation of ticket costs, parking fees and transportation costs. In calculating transportation costs, it is obtained from the Google Maps Distance Matrix API service, and the Google Maps Direction API service is also used to obtain route information for tourist destinations.
