Abstract

ABSTRACT The definition of small and medium enterprises in Presidential Decree Number 99 of 1988 is small-scale economic activities in which the majority of the economic sector is small and medium enterprises. However, MSMEs face various obstacles such as inventory data collection, transaction reporting and financial reporting which make them ineffective. Therefore, by designing the Toko Mapan POS system as an Android-based platform for MSMEs, researchers hope to change the way stores are managed with modern methods. This system design leverages Firebase's real-time database capabilities and barcode technology. The result of this research is an Android-based POS application. The POS application simplifies the process of managing your Mapan store. This was proven when we tested the system using black box techniques, the results were good and all features functioned well.
