Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning is a process carried out by teachers to improve students' abilities, skills and support character development. Javanese script learning at SD NEGERI JAMBON 2 still uses the teacher centered method, namely a method that still places the teacher as the main element during learning activities without any media that can accompany the teacher other than textbooks. However, this method is considered less effective and attractive for students. Based on these problems, researchers developed a Javanese Script Learning Media Application using the Marker-based Method with Android-based Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality aims to develop technology that allows computer-generated digital content to be integrated with the real world in real time. And equipped with a Marker Based method in the form of a marker, which functions to display virtual 3D objects in a real environment. Based on this description, the researcher believes that students' interest and enthusiasm for learning can be increased by building a Javanese Script Learning Media Application using the Marker Based Method with Android-based Augmented Reality.
