Abstract

ABSTRACT The Resort Police Agency (Polres) of Magelang City is a government agency with the command structure of the Indonesian National Police in the district/city area. As one of the government agencies of the Magelang City Police, in its administrative activities it requires various documents, the most frequently used are documents in the form of letters, both incoming and outgoing letters. One of the letters issued by the Magelang City Police was an assignment order which was conveyed to the relevant police station in Magelang City. This letter document is used as a legal requirement for a police officer to carry out his duties so that what is contained in the letter document may not be known by unauthorized parties, especially with current technological developments letter documents can be in the form of softfiles so that in the delivery process it can be accessed by other parties. irresponsible first before reaching the intended party, this triggers concerns about the misuse of the assignment order document, with the main problem as previously stated, a system is needed that can maintain the confidentiality of the document until later in the end it can be accessed by designated or related parties. Therefore, through this research, a system will be developed that can maintain the confidentiality of the information in the letter document with the encryption function, then the data can be returned to its form with the decryption function by the relevant parties who are intended by the assignment order. The development of the document data security application for this assignment order uses PHP (Pear Hypertext Preprocessor) software as a programming language, MySQL as a database server, Javascript as a support in building the system, and the RSA algorithm as a security system embedded in the system. This document security application for an assignment order contains a feature where the user can upload a letter file, then the letter is encrypted to disguise the contents of the data in it, then it can be restored in its form with the decryption function.
