Abstract

The Short Message Application is a communication solution that is widely used in the current digital era. This allows users to send and receive text messages, multimedia, and share information in real time over mobile networks or the internet. However, currently the problem of security and privacy of user data is not well maintained. The aim of this research is to create an application that can be used as a means of communication and secure short messages from users so that no data is spread using the Playfair Cipher algorithm and end-to-end encryption. . The research method used includes data collection through observation, interviews, and literature study. The results of this research show that this application is effective for use as a learning tool. The Playfair Cipher algorithm and End-to-end encryption ensure that only users can access the data that has been encrypted. This application provides a high level of security and makes it easier for users to interact with other users.
