Abstract

ABSTRACT In the current digital era, employee data is important and must be kept confidential so that it does not leak to the public. The large number of leak cases currently occurring have caused problems or panic for the wider community. Therefore, an Encryption and Decryption system is needed for Data Security so that employee data remains confidential. The security methods used are MD5 and Salt because they have been proven to be quite effective in handling data security. Also, the samples used are employee data obtained from the campus environment and the environment around where the author lives. The result of this research is an Encryption and Decryption web application for data security using the MD5 method which can be used by administrators only. With this application, problems can be minimized and perhaps can be eliminated if this application is developed further according to needs. Keywords: MD5, Salt, Encryption, Decryption, Data
