Abstract
ABSTRACT Teaching and learning activities in schools usually begin with checking student attendance. SMP Negeri 4 Sleman is one of the schools that still uses manual student attendance, namely by calling students one by one and recording the students' attendance in the attendance book. This is considered less effective, because at some point the attendance book could be lost or damaged, and the time used for manual attendance will take up time from the learning process, and the manual recapitulation process requires precision and quite a long time. Therefore, to reduce these problems, a presence system was created by utilizing REST API and QR Code technology with a web and mobile basis to help with a good attendance process and fast recapitulation. The features in the application built include, managing student data, taking attendance and recording attendance. Keywords: Presence, QR Code, Mobile, Website, REST API
