Abstract

ABSTRACT Classification is a crucial step in both digital image processing and the preparation for core processes in computer vision. It serves as an initial stage applied to images before proceeding to core stages such as object recognition and object analysis. In this study, the classification process using K-Means Clustering will be implemented as the preliminary processing for an application to recognize the ripeness of starfruit based on its skin color. Motivated by this problem, the author is driven to address this challenge by creating a program to classify the ripeness of starfruit based on its skin color.
