Abstract

WEB-BASED EXTRACURRICULAR REGISTRATION INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: SMP Negeri 2 Mlati) Isna Azmiazis, Rodhiyah Mardhiyyah Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: desianamiranti24@gmail.com , sutarman@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Teaching and learning activities in schools are inseparable from extracurricular activities, non-academic activities that enrich students' experiences outside of class hours. SMPN 2 Mlati has a number of extracurricular activities, but the registration process is still done manually, resulting in difficulties in storing data. In the era of information technology, schools need to utilize information systems to improve efficiency. This study focuses on the development of a web-based extracurricular registration information system at SMPN 2 Mlati. This system is designed to facilitate online registration via a website with online registration features, inputting student selection scores, and printing data. The study focuses on the online registration process for extracurricular activities, especially OSIS and Tonti, and the process of inputting scores by instructors. PHP as a web programming language and MySQL are used as a database. The study aims to facilitate extracurricular registration and data processing for instructors and admins. The benefits include simplifying the process, improving student and instructor interactions, and facilitating data storage. The research method involves observation, data collection, system analysis, system requirements analysis, system design with waterfall, and system implementation. With this web-based registration information system, it is expected to overcome obstacles in the registration process, increase the efficiency of data management, and provide significant benefits for students, instructors, and extracurricular admins at SMPN 2 Mlati.
