Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF WEB-BASED LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (Case Study: Yogyakarta State Community Academy of Arts and Culture) Tegar Pambudi, Dodi Hariadi, S.T., M.Eng Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : tegarpambudi0305@gmail.com , dodihar@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT The Yogyakarta State Community Academy of Arts and Culture is a higher education institution authorized to organize education at diploma one (D1) and diploma two (D2) levels. This study aims to develop a web-based learning management system to facilitate interaction between lecturers and students. The conventional learning system at AKNSBY often makes it difficult to access materials and assignments, and limits interaction outside of lecture hours. Therefore, a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) is needed that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. This study uses the waterfall system development method, including needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed with the CodeIgniter and Bootstrap frameworks, and is supported by a MySQL database. The test results show that the LMS developed effectively facilitates the learning process, allows lecturers to upload materials, assignments, and exams, and makes it easier for students to access and submit assignments online. System testing using the blackbox method shows that this system runs according to the expected specifications. The implementation of a web-based LMS at AKNSBY has succeeded in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of learning, complementing the conventional system, and expanding access and interaction between lecturers and students.
