Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED NEW STUDENT ADMISSION INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: Dharma Nusantara Sakti Yogyakarta Tourism Academy) Chintya Catur Maynescha Sari, Farida Ardiani, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail: chintyachasar@gmail.com, farida.ardiani@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT The implementation of PMB is usually provided in several routes and implementation processes by LLDIKTI (Higher Education Service Institute) which have a definite schedule. Meanwhile, the PMB process is carried out by universities independently and needs extra attention from prospective students. Such as the new student admission system at the Dharma Nusantara Sakti Tourism Academy (AKPARDA) Yogyakarta. The Dharma Nusantara Sakti Tourism Academy (AKPARDA) now has an online information system for new student admissions, but there are obstacles in its implementation such as no notification if prospective applicants have successfully registered which makes prospective applicants register again. This results in duplication of registrant data which will hamper the registrant recap process. The test payment process is also still being carried out by sending proof of transfer to the committee so that you can then take the entrance test. The solution is in the form of creating a website using the prototype method which will later contain verification and notification features via registrant's email, uploading proof of transfer, carrying out entrance tests which can be done via the website, and announcing the results of passing the entrance test. This system can help the committee in the process of admitting new students efficiently and make it easier for prospective new students to get actual information.
