Abstract

ABSTRACT Water is an essential natural resource for human life and other living things. The quality of water consumed every day is very important to maintain health. Water that is safe for consumption must meet strict health standards, as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 2 of 2023 to follow the parameters that have been provided. This study aims to design and create a portable water consumption suitability detection tool that is able to provide real-time water quality information to users. This tool is equipped with pH, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), Turbidity, and Temperature sensors to measure important parameters in determining water suitability. The methods used in this study include literature studies, tool design, tool manufacturing, and tool testing. The test results show that this tool has varying levels of accuracy for each parameter. The pH sensor has an accuracy of 95.75%, the TDS sensor 72.77%, and the temperature sensor 94.83% and the level of accuracy of the calculated data test results gives this tool an accuracy level of 100%. This tool successfully detects the suitability of drinking water according to the established standards and provides accurate information to users via the LCD display.
