Abstract
This research entitled “ A Study of Code Mixing in the Serial KelasInternasional on Net TV” is intended to find out the language used in the serial kelasinternasional program on net tv ; the form of code mixing in the serial kelasinternasional on net tv. This research belongs to a qualitative research. The research produces descriptive data in a written form. The object of this research is code mixing in the serial kelasinternasional on net tv. The data collected by writing the transcript of the show by the Serial KelasInternasional. After the data were collected they were analyzed and classified into language used, language form and the probable reason using code mixing. The results show that the language used in code mixing are English and Indonesian. The forms of code mixing were words, phrases, sentences. Words consist of noun, adjective, and verb. Phrases found are verb phrase, noun phrase, adjective phrase and adverb phrase. Sentences found are in the form statement sentence, interrogative sentence and imperative sentence. The probable reasons for using code mixing are being no suitable term in Indonesian and prestige. Key words : Serial KelasInternasional, code mixing, language
