Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR BARBERSHOP (Case Study: EL Barbershop Gemolong) Bachtiar Fitriadhi Nugroho, Damar Prasetyo, Drs., M.Kom. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science & Technology Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: bagus.dhen13@gmail.com, damar.prasetyo@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT EL Barbershop is a hair cutting and hair care service located in Gemolong City, providing hair cutting and hair care services. In processing financial data related to income and expenses, EL Barbershop still relies on manual recording in books and has not yet adopted accounting principles. This results in inadequate control over income and expenditure records and poor data storage, leading to suboptimal information generation. The purpose of this study is to develop a web-based accounting information system for the barbershop. The system development method used is the waterfall method. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the accounting information system at EL Barbershop is expected to assist in the recording of income and expenses, as all transactions will be categorized based on accounts. The accounting information system for the barbershop provides information regarding journal reports, ledger reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements, which can be utilized by EL Barbershop for financial data processing.
