Abstract

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED SCHOOL PROMOTION AND INTRODUCTION MEDIA INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: SMP Negeri 3 Godean) Orie Sohaz, Yuli Asriningtias, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: oriexsohaz@gmail.com, yuliasrinigtias@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT A school information system plays a vital role as a promotional media for schools and an introduction to the environment needed by schools, teachers, students, and the community. The existence of a school website facilitates information management. Interviews with the teaching staff at SMP Negeri 3 Godean revealed that the website still has many limitations in delivering information and introducing the school environment. This research aims to develop a school information system to assist the school in managing information and promoting the school effectively. The research methodology employed is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, along with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) Process Model. The results indicate that each menu on the school website functions well, providing benefits and ease in managing the information system for the operators. Testing conducted by the person in charge at SMP Negeri 3 Godean on the website page and testing scenarios shows a success rate of 100%, meeting the expected target.
