Abstract

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INVENTORY INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: CV. Bangkit Jaya) Henricus Aditya Wahyu Dwi Nugroho, Yuli Asriningtias, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: henricus.aditya2001@gmail.com, yuliasrinigtias@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT CV Bangkit Jaya faces challenges in managing its inventory due to a manual record-keeping system, leading to errors in tracking goods inflow and outflow as well as inefficiencies in the recording process. To address this issue, this study aims to develop and implement a web-based inventory information system to replace the manual system. This web-based information system is designed to improve accuracy and efficiency in managing inventory data by integrating essential features. Automated recording capabilities allow for the digital management of incoming and outgoing goods, reducing the errors commonly associated with manual systems. Real-time stock monitoring provides constantly updated information. Additionally, the system generates detailed reports on inventory activities, facilitating analysis and monitoring of goods movement. The research methodology includes system requirements analysis, design, and the implementation of web-based software. The results of this system implementation show a significant reduction in stock report errors and improved efficiency in inventory management. With the implementation of a web-based information system, CV Bangkit Jaya is expected to enhance productivity and respond more effectively to market demands.
