Abstract
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED STUDENT VIOLATION INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: SMK Dirgantara Putra Bangsa) Muhammad Ahsani Takwim Rambe, Farida Ardiani, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: wiwimrambe@gmail.com, farida.ardiani@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Parents or guardians face difficulties in monitoring or controlling their children while at school. Notifications for parent calls are still communicated through students, leading to situations where a student receives a notification letter and is expected to deliver it to their parents. This opens the possibility for students to ask someone else, not their parent or guardian, to come to the school. The storage of such notifications is at risk of damage or even data loss, requiring time to restore it. There is a need for a system that enables monitoring of violations committed by students while at school, a system that can issue notifications directly to parents without intermediaries, and a system that can securely store violation data. The method used to develop this system is the waterfall method. The waterfall method consists of several stages: problem identification, literature study, data collection, system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. With the implementation of a web-based student violation information system, parents/guardians can monitor their children while at school, receive notifications regarding violations committed by students through a WhatsApp gateway, and obtain notification letters. The school benefits from improved management and data recording using a database, as well as generating violation reports per student and class.
