DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED FURNITURE ORDERING INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: BLPT Yogyakarta, Sleman, DIY) Pirdaus Ahmad, Ir. Agus Sujarwadi, S.Kom., M.T. Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: firdauss0503@gmail.com, agus.sujarwadi@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT BLPT Yogyakarta is one of the technical education training centers still operating in Yogyakarta, located at Jl. Kyai Mojo No.70, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta. In addition, BLPT Yogyakarta also produces furniture for sale. Based on observations conducted at BLPT Yogyakarta, there are issues in managing order data and an ordering system that is currently considered suboptimal and still performed manually. This complicates the ordering process for customers, leading to time consumption and difficulties, which in turn affects customer interest in placing orders. The system is developed using a MySQL database, system design employs UML, and the system is implemented using HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. The system is tested using Black Box Testing on all processes. With the implementation of this web-based furniture ordering information system, customers can easily place orders, and administrators can efficiently manage order data. Keywords: Information System, Ordering, Furniture, UML, Web.
