Abstract

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEM OF A WEB-BASED INVENTORY USING THE FIRST IN FIRST OUT (FIFO) METHOD (Case Study: CV. Dwi Manunggal Sleman-Yogyakarta) Nurul Layyinnatus Solikah, Iwan Hartadi Tri Untoro, S.T., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta Email: lalayyin2605@gmail.com, iwan.hartadi@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT An inventory information system is a system used to process inventory data within a company. Inventory information systems have been widely implemented across various companies with diverse technologies. It has been observed that the inventory data processing at CV. Dwi Manunggal still relies on manual methods for recording incoming and outgoing goods and for generating inventory reports. This process leads to inaccuracies in the reports due to frequent data entry errors, prolonged searches for required items, and lengthy verification times. To minimize these errors, a computerized system is necessary to store inventory stock data. Therefore, this study aims to develop an inventory information system utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML) for data flow representation, PHP as the programming language, MySQL as the database, and First In First Out (FIFO) for inventory management. This system is expected to assist in controlling inventory data effectively. Keywords: Information System, Inventory, FIFO.
