Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE INFORMATION SYSTEM USING GEOLOCATION TECHNOLOGY (Case Study: PT. Gama Integra Informatika, Sleman, DIY) Fatwa Hadi Wijaya, Anna Dina Kalifia, S.Kom., M.Cs Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: fatwa.hadi.57@gmail.com, anna.dina.kalifia@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT PT. Gama Integra Informatika implements a work-from-home system for some of its employees. However, the existing attendance system does not accurately monitor employees' activities and locations during attendance. This issue has led to employees being absent from online meetings even after completing their daily attendance. This research utilizes the waterfall method to develop a web-based employee attendance information system. The method involves systematic and sequential stages of data collection, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The results show that by incorporating geolocation technology, the system can compare the attendance location of employees with predefined locations based on a specific radius. In conclusion, the web-based employee attendance information system with geolocation technology at PT. Gama Integra Informatika can establish attendance areas that are only accessible by employees within the designated radius. This system also helps to mitigate attendance discipline issues, as attendance must be conducted in accordance with the specified location. Testing conducted by the COO and two employees of PT. Gama Integra Informatika on 36 targets categorized into 11 specific categories showed a 100% compliance rate with the targets. Keywords: Information System, Attendance, Geolocation, Waterfall.
