Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF WEB-BASED LIBRARY APPLICATION (Case Study: YPK Masehi Berastagi) Gery Ardyanta, Adityo Permana Wibowo Department of Information System, Faculty of Science and Technology University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta E-mail : geryardyanta130202@gmail.com , adityo.permanai@staff.uty.ac.id ABSTRACT The library is part of the learning resources that must be owned by every school or college because students can easily find information or knowledge through the library. With the development of technology that makes humans think to be able to work more effectively and efficiently. One of them is making a conventional system into a computerized system. By utilizing website facilities that are connected to the internet, the library can be more effective and efficient in searching and ordering books. In this study, a web-based information system was designed using the PHP programming language. With this system, the library can overcome various needs from users to search for books and make orders and facilitate school administration in the circulation of book loans, book retrievals, book returns, and report making. From the research that has been carried out, the writer implemented the results of the study into the application of a Web-based Library Information System at YPK Masehi Berastagi. The test results show that this system has succeeded in integrating book loan data well, reducing queues, and increasing the speed of the book borrowing and returning process, providing significant benefits for YPK Masehi Berastagi in managing the library with a percentage value of 100%.
