Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of Kenna's imprisonment as the main character in Reminders of Him, a novel written by Colleen Hoover. This study has three objectives: first, is to explain how the chronology of the accident that killed Scotty and landed Kenna in prison. Second, to find out what the impact of Kenna experienced after getting out of prison. Third, is to explain how Kenna deal with the problems. This study used qualitative descriptive methods and used an objective approach by Abrams. This research is also supported with psychological theory and sociological theory. In this research, the writer found that Kenna had an accident that resulted in Scotty's death which made Kenna imprisoned. Meanwhile, the impact experienced by Kenna after getting out of prison is employment barriers, rejection, financial struggles, and mental health issues. Self-acceptance and family reconnection are the way Kenna dealing with her problems
