Abstract
This study aims to determine the heroic values in Smith’s Aliens on vacation novel which focusing on main character. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with a novel as primary data source. The Objective Approach help the writer in getting the data and analyzing them. The method of collecting data is to examine the heroic values of the novel in its dialogues and paragraph. The writer interpretsthe data she has gathered and related them with the theory of heroic values by TM Calder. In this study, six traits are used as the basis for Scrub to perform heroic values. These traits are bravery, wisdom, self-sacrifice, reliability, hard work, and responsibility. The result shows that Scrub has passed six traits, thus he is defined as the character who has heroic values in himself.
