Abstract

Social assistance programs represent one of the governmental initiatives to alleviate poverty within society. However, the efficacy of these programs is frequently undermined by the absence of accurate and up-to-date data regarding impoverished populations. To improve the effectiveness of social assistance initiatives, there is a pressing need for an information system capable of comprehensively and integratively collecting data on the poor in poverty. This study seeks to design a Poor Citizen Data Collection Information System that aims to improve the effectiveness of social assistance programs. The methodologies employed in this research include literature reviews and interviews with various stakeholders. The findings indicate that implementing a Poor Citizen Data Collection Information System can streamline data management, expedite the identification process of impoverished individuals, and facilitate more precise poverty mapping. This system is anticipated to enable the government and relevant institutions to optimize the allocation of social assistance following actual needs. Furthermore, this system may be a foundation for developing more targeted and sustainable social assistance programs.
