Abstract
ABSTRACT The advancement of land transportation, particularly through the use of motorized vehicles, significantly impacts the welfare of individuals. In Indonesia, motorized vehicles play a crucial role in evolving transportation systems. However, the increase in the number of vehicles has concurrently led to various challenges, including flat tires, fuel depletion, and mechanical failures, with the frequency of such incidents rising. When issues arise on the road, drivers often encounter difficulties in locating relevant information and assistance. This study aims to develop an Android-based mobile application to provide motorized vehicle users with location information and access to relevant service providers, thereby expediting the assistance process. The proposed application will feature an emergency call function, enabling users to contact service providers or relevant locations based on the specific problems they are experiencing. Additionally, this system will serve as a business platform for merchants interested in participating in the application’s features. In developing this mobile application, the author will employ the Google Maps API to facilitate the search for and recommendation of the nearest locations where drivers can obtain assistance. The research encompasses a comprehensive approach, including analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. Keywords: transportation, motorized drivers, mobile, android, emergency call, merchant
