Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia menempatkan olahraga sebagai salah satu sarana dalam pembangunan, terutama pembangunan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Dalam konteks pembangunan, olahraga dijadikan instrument membentuk karakter bangsa. Keberhasilan dalam dunia olahraga membuat negara bangga sekaligus mengangkat citra bangsa Indonesia di mata dunia. Prestasi olahraga dari Kabupaten Gunungkidul masih jauh di bawah kabupaten dan kota lain di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Namun, Kabupaten Gunungkidul memiliki potensi sumber daya manusia yaitu pemuda dan atlit yang dapat dikembangkan dan berprestasi sedangkan fasilitas belum memiliki taraf standardisasi yang baik bahkan beberapa cabang olahraga belum mempunyai fasilitas sehingga menjadi suatu kendala bagi para penggiat olahraga di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Metode perancangan diawali dengan pencarian data melalui online di google dan dibuktikan kebenarannya dengan survei ke lokasi site. Data yang sudah terkumpul disatukan dengan analisis fungsi, analisis pengguna, tapak, program ruang, bentuk, struktur, utilitas, dan sebagainya. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah penerapan arsitektur modern dalam rancangan Sport Center di Gunungkidul yakni rancangan bangunan termutakhir yang memiliki tingkat biaya pemeliharaan rendah sehingga fungsionalitas bangunan sebagai wadah pengembangan potensi atlet generasi muda tetap terjaga. Indonesia places sports as one of the means of development, especially the development of quality human resources. In the context of development, sports are used as an instrument to shape the character of the nation. Success in the world of sports makes the country proud and at the same time raises the image of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world. The sports achievements of Gunungkidul Regency are still far below other regencies and cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. However, Gunungkidul Regency has the potential for human resources, namely youth and athletes who can be developed and excel, while the facilities do not yet have a good standardization level, even some sports branches do not have facilities so that it becomes an obstacle for sports activists in Gunungkidul Regency. The design method begins with an online data search on Google and its truth is proven by a survey to the site location. The data that has been collected is combined with function analysis, user analysis, footprint, space program, shape, structure, utilities, and so on. The results obtained are the application of modern architecture in the design of the Sport Center in Gunungkidul, namely the latest building design that has a low maintenance cost so that the functionality of the building as a place to develop the potential of young generation athletes is maintained.
