Abstract

Setelah pandemi covid 19, terjadi peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan di indonesia, baik dari skala negara sampai kabupaten, termasuk kabupaten pulau morotai. Kabupaten Pulau Morotai merupakan kawasan ekonomi khusus bidang pariwisata, sekaligus merupakan salah satu dari 10 dearah yang ditunjuk menjadi Destinasi Wisata Prioritas. Menteri Pariwisata sandiaga uno pada saat kunjungannya ke kabupaten pulau morotai, ingin mendorong wisata bahari dan religi. Peningkatan kunjungan wisatawan ini harus direspon dengan pemenuhan informasi yang cepat, akurat, dan up to date, maka dibutuhkan wadah Pusat Informasi Wisata, hal ini sejalan dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 50 Tahun 2011 yang ingin memfokuskan promosi wisata berbasis tema tertentu, maka dari itu dibutuhkan Pusat Informasi Wisata Bahari & Budaya di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai untuk mewadahi informasi dengan tema khusus, yaitu bahari & Budaya. Pusat Informasi Wisata Bahari & Budaya ini mengacu pada pendekatan Sustainable Architecture, dimana desain bangunan ini lebih berfokus pada keberlanjutan dari segi budaya yang mulai terkikis oleh modernisasi dan iklim yang ada di Kabupaten Pulau Morotai. After the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in tourist visits in Indonesia from the national scale to the district scale, including the Morotai Island Regency. The Morotai Island Regency is a special economic zone for tourism and is also one of 10 regions designated as Priority Tourism Destinations. Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Uno during his visit to the Morotai Island Regency, wanted to encourage marine and religious tourism. This increase in tourist visits must be responded to by providing fast, accurate, and up-to-date information, so a Tourism Information Center is needed, this is in line with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 50 of 2011 which wants to focus on tourism promotion based on certain themes, therefore a Marine & Cultural Tourism Information Center is needed in the Morotai Island Regency to accommodate information with a special theme, namely marine & culture. This Marine & Cultural Tourism Information Center refers to the Sustainable Architecture approach, where the design of this building focuses more on sustainability in terms of culture which is starting to be eroded by modernization and the climate in the Morotai Island Regency.
