Abstract
ABSTRACT Common challenges in teaching preschool children to recognize colors include a lack of visual appeal, limited interaction, and low levels of concentration. Additionally, negative factors such as boredom and disinterest in traditional learning methods are significant concerns. This study aims to develop a markerless Augmented Reality (AR) game application that leverages modern technology to enhance the learning process. By eliminating the need for physical markers, this application allows children to intuitively and enjoyably recognize colors. With embedded interactive elements, the application seeks to increase children's engagement and facilitate more effective learning. The research method employed in this study is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). This method was selected because it is well-suited for developing multimedia applications, encompassing the processes of planning, design, implementation, and testing. While the application has the potential to enhance the learning experience significantly, it also presents some drawbacks that must be addressed. One concern is the potential for children to become overly reliant on technology, which may hinder their ability to adapt to traditional learning methods. Furthermore, eye health risks must be considered, as excessive screen time can lead to eye fatigue and visual strain in children. Another serious issue is the inequality of access, as not all children have easy access to electronic devices or internet connections, creating an accessibility gap and exacerbating educational inequalities. Therefore, a balanced approach is necessary, which includes limiting application usage time, ensuring a variety of learning methods, and prioritizing health considerations during implementation. The steps for implementation involve designing a child-friendly interface and developing learning content that is appropriate for kindergarten-aged children.
