Abstract
College is a crucial period for students to learn how to manage their finances independently. However, many students struggle with managing their pocket money, which often results in uncontrolled spending and financial difficulties by the end of the month. Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta, one of the private universities in Yogyakarta, faces similar challenges, as many students encounter problems in managing their finances. To address this issue, this study developed a mobile-based Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This method assists students in determining spending priorities based on their categorized needs. The results of the implementation and testing, conducted using the Blackbox method, demonstrate that the application functions effectively and meets user requirements. Furthermore, the application’s interface has been meticulously crafted to be intuitive and user-friendly, ensuring seamless navigation for users with varying technological aptitudes. The application’s primary function is to assist students in the effective management of their financial resources, including the prevention of excessive expenditure and the enhancement of financial management efficiency.
