Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED PROMOTION INFORMATION SYSTEM APPLICATION (Case Study: Office of the Regional Secretary/Regent of Grobogan, Central Java) Oliv Afrilia Sari, Adityo Permana Wibowo. Ring Road Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: olivafrilia12@gmail.com, adityopw@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT Information technology plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of work management in various government agencies. This study focuses on the promotion system at the Grobogan Regency Regent's Office, which was previously manual and had minimal use of technology. This study aims to develop a more structured, efficient, and transparent promotion system by utilizing an information technology approach. Based on the analysis, the current system at the Regent's Office does not meet the needs of effective employee performance evaluation. The data used in the evaluation process includes employee personal information such as name, NIP, current position, class, last education, length of service, and promotion history. The results of this study are recommendations for a technology-based promotion system that can determine the eligibility of employee promotions based on evaluation results. With the implementation of the proposed system, it is expected to increase transparency, accuracy, and efficiency of the promotion process, while supporting the vision of the Grobogan Regent's Office in creating better and more competitive governance.
