Abstract

Opera Sabun Coin Laundry in Jogja is a self-service laundry facility that operates 24 hours a day. A recurring issue at Opera Sabun is the inefficient queuing system, where customers who arrive later may be served before those who arrive earlier. Additionally, customers are often unaware of the current queue status, leading to extended wait times at the location. The purpose of developing this application system is to provide customers with real-time information regarding laundry services. The application is being developed using Android Studio with the Kotlin programming language, and it utilizes Firebase as the database to support real-time performance. The research method is initiated with an analysis of data concerning user satisfaction with the application’s features. This step is followed by administering questionnaires to respondents regarding the application’s usage. The method also includes literature studies. Subsequently, the application is designed and created. Upon completion of the system, a testing phase ensues. The efficacy of the application is demonstrated by its ability to function well and meet user needs, as evidenced by the results of the test. The satisfaction levels attained from the developed system were 95% among administrators and 92% among customers. The application’s efficacy lies in its ability to conserve customers’ time and energy, augmenting the efficiency of queues and laundry services.
