Abstract

Retail business management and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have undergone significant changes due to technological advancements. An essential aspect of retail business management is cashier management. Many stores still rely on traditional methods for inventory management. Toko Cantik is one such store that has yet to adopt modern technology. Implementing mobile-based cashier applications is crucial for enhancing business efficiency and productivity. To address existing challenges, a more contemporary and effective solution is required. This study presents the implementation of a mobile-based cashier application for Toko Cantik, developed using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method, with a focus on the specific needs of the store. The system modeling was then created using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), which includes Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Use Case Diagrams. System coding was also carried out to realize the existing design. The Kotlin programming language and Firebase database are used to manage existing data. The application was then subjected to rigorous Black Box Testing testing to ensure its integrity and functionality. Implementing this cashier application is expected to provide store owners with the tools to increase operational efficiency and enable them to compete better in an increasingly competitive market.
